At Essential Workforce Learning & Development, our mission is to empower young adults and adults through high-quality, hands-on vocational training that leads to employment, independence, and long-term success. We are committed to providing accessible, government-funded education in skilled trades that are in high demand across Arizona and beyond.

Our Vision

We envision a future where every individual has access to hands-on training, real-world opportunities, and the support needed to build a successful career in the skilled trades. Through inclusive, government-funded education, Essential Workforce Learning & Development empowers learners to gain confidence, independence, and lasting employment in industries that strengthen our communities.

What We Do:

Essential Workforce Learning & Development offers practical, hands-on instruction in skilled trades through project-based learning. We serve individuals who are:

  • Exploring their first career path

  • Transitioning from alternative education or high school

  • Re-entering the workforce

  • Seeking a career change

  • In need of small group or individualized learning support (including those with IEPs)

Our program is part of 360 Educational Services, an accredited alternative education provider based in Tempe, Arizona.

How We Teach

We believe in learning by doing. Our instructional approach includes:

Visual Project

Project-Based Learning

Students complete real builds such as outdoor kitchens, fire pits, and energy-efficiency upgrades.

Glass Conference Room

Small Group Instruction

Classes are kept small so each learner receives personal attention and guidance.

Cementing Floor

Worksite Simulation

Students train in real-world environments using industry-standard tools and materials.

Job Interview

Career Preparation

Participants graduate with certifications and hands-on experience that can be immediately applied in the job market.
